Aurora Clinic, located on the Aurora Medical Services Campus, is currently recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. Aurora Clinic is an independent clinic with a mission of providing Family Medical Care with a very personal touch. Our family-oriented Clinic practices full-spectrum traditional Family Medicine, seeing patients of all ages.


Duties of this position include:

  • Invite and assist patient to exam room, collect and document relevant patient information to include, patient concern, vital signs, height and weight, review of medications, and allergies.  Review patients initial health history form and update as needed.
  • Assist provider (Physician or Physician Assistant) in procedures such as dressing changes, pelvic exams, laceration repairs, etc.
  • Attend to needs of patients and visitors
  • Assure patient as needed; calm fears and answer questions as necessary for the patients
  • Follow procedure for authorized medication administration and narcotic control
  • Communicate questions about appropriateness of medical care through chain of command as needed
  • Administer vaccinations within guidelines set up by CDC, be aware of requirements for ND Dept of Health and Wellness.  Report any concerns to Nursing Supervisor.
  • Perform treatments and procedures as directed which are within the individual's training and capabilities with diagnostic exam and procedures, including cardiac monitoring and care of patient using IV medications as directed by Physician. Refer to Nursing Supervisor in any case of assistance for guidance.
  • Complete necessary forms and logs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide therapeutic intervention to patients in regard to psychosocial, environmental, and physical well-being
  • Respond to emergency situations
  • Answer telephone calls promptly, maintaining confidentiality and communicating respectfully to all callers.
  • Follow established procedures for processing and transcribing physician's orders promptly and accurately.
  • Follow weekly schedule presented by nursing supervisor as to which medical staff the nurse is responsible for on a daily basis.
  • Have an active role in managing assigned physician's patient census and recall system.
  • Perform related duties as required.
